Perioperative Practitioners Training
Insights into Practical Orthopaedics
Biomet recognises the important role of Perioperative Practitioners in the team approach to the successful treatment of the orthopaedic patient. The Orthopaedic Skills Academy therefore includes a range of training opportunities to enable all members of the care team to increase their understanding and develop new skills.
Examples of courses available include the annual European Perioperative Practitioners Trauma Course -
a three day event combining practical and theoretical sessions delivered by highly experienced Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeons.
This format of training based on a mixture of presentations, debates and hands-on workshop sessions is also used on similar courses, run at both local and national level, on subjects such as Bone Cement & Cementing Techniques and Spinal Surgery.
Biomet’s representatives are also equipped to deliver on-site training in your hospital, which can be tailored to meet your requirements. This can be particularly useful when a new product or technique is being introduced or when there are new members joining the team.
